Valley of flowers is located in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India which is close to Nanda Devi National Park and has an altitude that varies from 10,500 feet to 21,900 feet above sea level. The trek is considered as an easy to moderate trek and is a favourite among the beginners as well as avid trekkers. This place is home to around 300 different varieties of alpine flowers, which appear as a bright carpet of color against a mountainous snow capped background and is spread over 87.5 square kilometers (55 miles). Reaching to this place requires some efforts, as the trek begins at Pulna village near Govind Ghat. On the way, you will get to see beautiful waterfalls, a glance of which will soak all your exhaustion. The best time to visit this place is from July to August, when the flowers are in full bloom after the first monsoon rain.
